From an early age, Mackenzie has been deeply connected to the intellectual and developmental disabilities community. At just five years old, she began learning the meaning of compassion, dignity, and person-centered care while living with her family in a group home that supported nine individuals with special needs. Those formative years shaped her heart, her values, and her lifelong passion for supporting others.
Mackenzie spent her summers working within a local provider’s day program, gaining hands-on experience in meaningful engagement, creative service delivery, and building strong relationships with the people she served. Whether assisting with activities or offering support during daily routines, she consistently demonstrated patience, warmth, and a natural ability to make others feel valued.
In May 2025, Mackenzie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and a Minor in Psychology—a combination that reflects both her creativity and her commitment to understanding human behavior. Her education, paired with her real-world experience, allows her to bring a thoughtful, holistic approach to her work at Enabld.
Mackenzie currently lives in Charlotte and is engaged to be married. She and her fiancé will be relocating to the area in the summer of 2026. To prepare for her future leadership role, Mackenzie is joining Enabld now as an Associate Professional (AP). Beginning early allows her to immerse herself in Enabld’s philosophy, training framework, and values so she can seamlessly transition into a Qualified Professional (QP) role upon moving back to the community she loves.
Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her long-haired mini dachshund, Cricket, who is never far from her side and is a beloved part of her life.
Mackenzie brings compassion, creativity, and a deep-rooted understanding of the disability community to the Enabld team. We are proud to welcome her and excited for the impact she will make as she continues to grow into her future role.
