Alternative Family Living

Alternative Family Living

Residential Supports provides support to enable a beneficiary  to live successfully in an Alternative Family Living (AFL) setting. The intended outcome of the service is to increase or maintain the beneficiary’s life skills, provide the supervision needed, maximize his/her self-sufficiency and increase self- determination. AFLs may be licensed or unlicensed and are compensated with a daily rate.

Alternative Family Living

Community Networking services provide individualized day activities that support the beneficiary’s definition of a meaningful day in an integrated community setting, with persons who are not disabled. This can include volunteering, taking classes, being in a club etc.

Supported Employment

Community Living Supports

Supported Employment services provide assistance, based on individual circumstances and need, to explore, seek, choose, acquire, maintain, increase and/or advance in competitive integrated employment. Competitive integrated employment is an individual job in an integrated work setting in the general workforce for which an individual is compensated at or above the minimum wage.

Community Living Supports

Community Living and Support is an individualized service that enables the beneficiary to live successfully in their own home and be an active member of their community. A paraprofessional assists the beneficiary to learn new skills and/or supports the beneficiary in activities that are individualized and aligned with the beneficiary’s preferences.

Respite services provide periodic or scheduled support and relief to the primary caregiver(s) from the responsibility and stress of caring for the beneficiary. NC Innovations respite may also be used to provide temporary relief to a beneficiary who resides in Licensed or Unlicensed AFL.

1915i Services

 The services are for individuals who have a serious mental health condition, a severe substance use disorder, an intellectual/developmental disability, or a traumatic brain injury.   These services are designed to help individuals live in their own homes and communities, rather than in a facility or institution.

As we continue to grow, we plan to work on finding a space for a day program. Once that happens, we will provide Individual and Group Day Supports.
